Scripture Union Daily Guide 14th March 2025 Outline

The quest for power, position, influence, and the attending pride remains a serious temptation to both secular and spiritual leaders of all generations. Any person who has victory over these challenges can indeed be truly called a man of God. Read Numbers 23:13-19 and note Balak’s attempt to manipulate God.

By changing location, he thought he could influence Him to change His mind. Have we too sometimes behaved like Balak? He says clearly in His word that a particular action is sinful and unacceptable, but we look for ways to circumvent that. He condemns fornication and lust, but we rename these ‘love’.

God says unequal yoke with unbelievers is wrong, but we tell Him we will convert the ungodly partner. God always means what He says and says what He means. He does not play with His word (Numbers 23:19). Beware of the spirit of Balaam and the pressure of Balak in life, ministry, and the Church.

Numbers 23:20-24: The promises and blessings of God to His chosen ones who faithfully trust Him cannot fail (Romans 11:29). Combined forces of principalities, powers and rulers of darkness are not strong enough to nullify or reverse His word.

* Any new insight or reinforcement of what you already know?

Closing Prayer:
Lord, I thank you for your word that says that no weapon formed against me shall prosper.
